ROOFING LABORER
Location: Kalispell, MT

Job Description:
Armored Exteriors, a premier roofing contractor in Kalispell, Columbia Falls, and the Flathead Valley, is seeking an experienced Roofing Laborer to join our team. With at least 1 year of roofing experience, you’ll assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining shingle and metal roofs, ensuring all work meets manufacturer-approved methods and IRC 2021 Building Codes. Help us deliver durable, high-quality roofs across Montana!

Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of shingle and metal roofs—e.g., laying tarps, nailing shingles, handling materials.

Examine roofs for damage, wear, and tear—report findings to supervisors.

Ensure compliance with IRC 2021 Building Codes (e.g., ice/water shield, flashing requirements) and manufacturer installation standards.
-
Support roof removal and cleanup—load debris, keep sites tidy and safe.

Follow safety protocols—wear harnesses, secure ropes under supervision.​

Requirements:

1+ year of roofing experience—knowledge of shingle and metal roof installs/repairs.

Understanding of IRC 2021 roofing codes and manufacturer-approved methods.

Ability to work safely at heights—physical capacity to lift 50+ lbs.

Strong team player with good communication skills—willingness to learn.

High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.

seeks an experienced Roofing Supervisor/Foreman to oversee our roofing operations. With 5+ years of roofing expertise, you’ll manage on-site activities, lead crews, and uphold top safety and quality standards. You’ll coordinate logistics, procure materials, and ensure every job—from prep to completion—meets our excellence benchmark. Join us to deliver durable roofs across Montana!

Responsibilities:

Prep & Logistics: Review job/material orders, ensure correct materials (shingles, metal, flashings) are delivered 1-3 jobs ahead—verify quantities, colors, and timing (e.g., shingle delivery). Stock backup supplies.

Crew Management: Supervise roofing crews daily—assign tasks, coordinate workflow, and provide hands-on training as needed.

Safety Oversight: Enforce harness/safety rope use per regulations—conduct site walkarounds to protect property (e.g., tarps over shrubs, windows).

Quality Control: Monitor install steps (e.g., 6-nail pattern, ice/water courses, drip edge)—document progress with photos/videos (before, during, after).

Completion: Manage dump runs, ensure sites are debris-free and restored—capture post-job photos for records.

Requirements:

5+ years of roofing experience (installs, repairs, flashings—shingles/metal).

Strong leadership—proven ability to manage crews and logistics.

Expertise in safety and quality standards—detail-oriented.

Logistics/procurement skills—e.g., ordering materials, verifying deliveries.

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.
